Our new Noack Organ is here, but not quite ready.
We are very excited about the progress of the installation and assembly of our new Noack Organ. The voicing process will soon begin and should be done by the end of the summer. Watch the video to hear Didier Grassin, president of the Noack Organ Co., describe the voicing process.
Mark your calendars to join us on Sunday, September 13th at the 11:00 a.m. service for an official dedication of our new Noack pipe organ. The new organ will be featured in many of its roles during the service: leading congregation singing, accompanying the choir, as well as the closing voluntary.
Then, come back at 2:30 p.m. on September 13th to hear Cantor Olsen play a 30-minute pre-concert recital prior to the 3:00 pm Salem Baroque Festival concert. Dr. Olsen will be joined by his Salem Baroque colleagues in a delightful concert, "Giants of the Baroque," featuring the organ as a solo instrument in works of Bach and Handel, in addition to works with the full Salem Baroque instrumental and vocal ensemble.
Further dedicatory concerts and festivals are planned for the 2026-27 program year, and will be shared with the congregation and wider community soon!
