Augsburg Ministries thrive with an active, involved congregation.

Augsburg Lutheran Church is a lay-led congregation, meaning that the congregation is active and involved in every aspect of the congregation’s ministries. The people of the congregation are referred to as disciples. We are individually and together following Jesus in paths of ministry.

Augsburg’s Congregation Council consists of 12 members elected to a three year term (4 members per year). This group is responsible for crafting and implementing Augsburg’s strategic plan, to oversee the ministries and activities of the church, and to support the staff and pastors in their daily work.

Each council member serves in a unique role as either an officer of the congregation as part of the Executive Team or as the representative of one of our Ministry Teams.

Augsburg’s Ministry Teams are where God’s people gather together to do the work of the church through planning programming, recruiting and equipping volunteers, and engaging with ministry partners and community members. All Augsburg members are welcome (and encouraged) to be part of at least one ministry team.

Every ministry team works closely with at least one of our pastors. If you would like to learn more about getting involved with one of the following ministries, please contact the connected pastor.
