Finding Your Way to Augsburg

Augsburg Lutheran Church is located in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem at 845 W. 5th Street.

Accessible campus:

Augsburg's renovated campus offers a high level of accessibility. Convenient parking connects to the buildings with stair-free pathways, plus safe stairway options. A covered portico drop-off from Pilot View provides access to the Family Life Center and the elevator lobby. All floors are accessible from the elevator. ADA compliant restrooms on the first floor and the third floor are conveniently located.

Parking is identified in yellow on the map below. 

Fifth Street Parking Lot (A):

The first parking lot is the Fifth Street Parking Lot, next to the church. This lot can be accessed from Fifth Street or Pilot View Street.

Parking on Fifth Street (B):

You are also invited to park along Fifth Street, directly in front of the church.

(Please note that on the weekdays, this parking is metered. However, on the weekends, parking is free.) 

Pilot View Street Parking Lot (C):

This parking lot is across the street on Pilot View Street with easy access to the main campus.

Where to enter.

Front of Campus Entrances (845 W. Fifth Street, Gathering Entrance, Office Entrance)

  • To access the front of the church, the gathering spaces, and the Sanctuary, follow signage along Fifth Street.
  • Look for our Outdoor Gathering Space just west of the front entrance where we hold weekly worship services during the summer.
  • To visit the church office, follow signage along Fifth Street down one level.


Back of Campus Entrances (844 Pilot View Street, Portico Entrance, The Commons Entrance)

  • To access the our Family Life Center or The Commons meeting spaces, follow signage along Pilot View Street. There is a covered portico drop-off at the elevator lobby that also provides access to all floors and the Sanctuary.
