Matt Flynt 

Facilities Manager

Born and raised in Winston-Salem, Matt has remained a lifelong resident of the area and stayed close to his family and community. For college, he ventured to Wingate University for Sport Management and attended Appalachian State University for Library Science. His professional path led to a variety of experiences, including over a decade working in professional baseball and at Old Salem Museums and Gardens. Matt's passion for history and historical architecture, and the systems that keep them optimally operational, led to his desire to be the Facility Manager at Augsburg Lutheran Church. 

Besides attending any type of athletic event, Matt's other hobbies include collecting scally caps, historical ephemera, and 16mm films. When not on-site at Augsburg, Matt can be found working events at Wake Forest University, in a theater, or walking the trails at Salem Lake or Tanglewood Park.
